The former Women's and Men's Associations merged in 2009 to form Wellington Golf Incorporated, and a new Constitution was established. Submissions were sought in 2014 on changes to the Constitution.  The reasons for the change were around removing the transition provisions and updating provisions to meet the current intents of Wellington Golf.  An updated constitution was approved at a Special General Meeting held on 29 September 2015.In 2020 the Constitution was reviewed and proposed changes were advised to clubs, duly voted on via an Electronic AGM and subsequently adopted.
