Miramar's Sam Marsters has been crowned the 2022 Wellington Matchplay Champion, the 100th time this trophy has been contested.
Marsters beat Brad Rowland in the final round a superbly turned out Manor Park course.
Rowland established an early 2up lead, but Marsters responded through the middle of the match to get to 4 up before finally closing out the game with a hole out eagle 2 on the 15th hole for a 4/3 victory.
On the way to his win Sam accounted for Mark Whalen, Peter Spearman-burn and Thomas Woods while Brad had beaten Cruize Wawatai, Elton Nicholson and Ciaran Sim.
This continues a great run of form for the Miramar No.1, completing a notable double having won the 72 Hole Strokeplay title a month ago, and the Nth Island Strokeplay in between.
Next weekend Marsters heads to the Hawkes Bay as part of the Men's Shand Cup team, while Rowland will join Jonno Can, Nicholson, Whalen, Matt Pegg and Steve Thomson as part of the Masters National Interprovincial team competing at Motueka.
